KFUPM Students Complete Summer Internship at BestCircle AI

A summer of learning by doing

From June 14 to August 7, BestCircle, led by CEO Dr. Tony Kakpovbia, welcomed students from King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals (KFUPM) for a hands-on summer internship coordinated by Basel Alabdullah. The program gave the students an opportunity to move beyond the classroom and experience how ideas are developed, discussed, and communicated in a working company environment.

Throughout the internship, the students became part of our day-to-day work. They contributed to company projects, joined client meetings, and prepared presentations, building practical experience at every stage of the process.

Contributing to real company projects

The students worked on active BestCircle projects and gained a closer look at how a team turns a business need into focused, practical work. Contributing to real projects asked them to apply what they had learned at KFUPM while adapting to new tools, priorities, and expectations.

This experience was about more than completing assigned tasks. It was an opportunity to ask questions, work through challenges, receive feedback, and see how individual contributions connect to a wider project goal.

Learning from client meetings

Attending client meetings gave the interns valuable exposure to the conversations that shape a project. They saw how teams listen to client needs, clarify objectives, communicate progress, and connect technical work to real business priorities.

Those meetings also showed the importance of clear communication. Strong ideas create more value when they can be explained in a way that helps everyone understand the problem, the proposed direction, and the next step.

Building confidence through presentations

Presentation was an important part of the internship experience. The students organized their work, explained their thinking, and shared their progress with others. Each presentation helped them strengthen their ability to turn detailed work into a clear and confident story.
